Privacy Policy

Effective: July 2026

FitCheck is a digital closet and virtual try-on app made by Varie Industries. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app collects, what stays on your device, what is briefly sent out to create a try-on image, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not to hide behind.

The short version: your closet and your photo live on your device. When you ask for a try-on, your photo and a garment image are sent to our AI processing partners for the few seconds it takes to build the composite, then the result comes back to you. Your photo is not kept on any server after that, and it is never used to train any model.

1Who we are

FitCheck is published by Varie Industries. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at support@fitcheckcloset.com. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean Varie Industries as the maker of FitCheck, and "you" means the person using the app.

2What stays on your device

FitCheck is built to keep your personal content local. The following are stored on your device only, in the app's private storage, and are not uploaded to us for safekeeping:

Your closet. The clothing items you add by photographing them, along with any labels, categories, or notes you attach to them.
Your Mirror photo. The single full-body photo of yourself that you add so the app can show try-on looks on you.
Your saved looks. The try-on images you choose to keep, and your app preferences and settings.

Because this content lives on your device, deleting the app removes it. We recommend keeping your own backup of any images you want to preserve, since we do not hold a copy for you.

3The try-on round trip: what is sent, and for how long

To render a virtual try-on, the app has to combine your photo with a garment image, and that combining is done by specialized AI image-processing services. Here is exactly how it works:

When you request a try-on, FitCheck sends your photo and the selected garment image to our third-party image-processing providers.
Those providers generate the composited try-on image and return it to your device. This takes only the moment needed to process the request.
The finished image comes back to you, and you decide whether to save it to your device or discard it.

Our commitment on the photo round trip

Your photo is used only to generate the try-on image you asked for. It is not stored on our servers after processing, and it is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, ours or anyone else's. We do not build a profile of you from these images, and we do not sell them.

We refer to these services as our AI processing partners or third-party image-processing providers. They process the image to fulfill your request and are directed to handle it only for that purpose. Sending an image over the internet always carries some inherent risk, and we describe our safeguards in the Security section below.

4Purchases and subscriptions

FitCheck offers subscriptions and a consumable "Looks" top-up purchase. All payments are handled by Apple through your App Store account. We do not see or receive your credit card number, and we do not process your payment ourselves.

Apple tells the app whether you hold an active subscription or have an available balance of Looks, so the app can unlock the right features. This is purchase status, not payment details.
Your billing, receipts, refunds, and payment method are managed by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy and terms.
We may see anonymous, aggregate sales information from Apple (for example, how many subscriptions are active) that is not tied to your identity.

5Diagnostics and analytics

If FitCheck collects any usage or diagnostic information, it is anonymous and aggregate only, used to understand things like which features are used and whether the app is crashing, so we can fix problems. It is not tied to your name or identity.

In this version of the app:

There are no third-party advertising trackers and no ad networks.
We do not collect your location, your contacts, your browsing history, or your device's advertising identifier.
We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone. We have no interest in doing so.

6Your likeness, your control

The photo you add of yourself is a picture of your face and body. We treat it as sensitive likeness data and give you direct control over it.

You add it, you own it. Your Mirror photo stays on your device. We do not keep a stored copy of it on our servers.
You can remove it anytime. In Settings you can delete your Mirror photo and any saved looks. Deletion happens immediately, on your device.
It is not used to identify you. We do not run facial recognition to identify who you are, we do not match your photo against any database, and we do not use it to train models.
It is used for one purpose: to show you how clothing might look on you, when you ask for a try-on.

7Deleting your data

You are in control of removing your content at any time:

Open Settings inside FitCheck to delete your Mirror photo, individual closet items, or saved looks. This takes effect immediately on your device.
Deleting the FitCheck app from your device removes the closet, your photo, and your saved looks stored there.
Because your content is stored locally and not on our servers, there is no separate server-side copy for us to delete. If you have a question about data, write to support@fitcheckcloset.com and we will help.

8Security

We take reasonable, industry-standard steps to protect information. Your closet and photo are held in the app's private storage on your device. When your photo and a garment image are sent for try-on processing, that transmission is protected in transit using encryption. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security, but we work to keep the exposure narrow: the image is sent only to generate the look you requested, and it is not retained afterward.

9Children

FitCheck is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app and provided a photo or other information, contact us at support@fitcheckcloset.com and we will address it.

10What our App Store label declares

To keep our App Store privacy label honest and consistent with this policy, here is what FitCheck declares and why:

Photos	App functionality. Your Mirror photo and closet images power the try-on feature.
User Content	App functionality. Your closet items, notes, and saved looks.
Purchases	App functionality. Subscription and purchase status, handled through Apple.

We do not declare, and do not collect, location, contacts, browsing history, or advertising data. If it is not on this list, we are not gathering it.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes or as the law requires. When we make a meaningful change, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, note it in the app. Continuing to use FitCheck after an update means you accept the revised policy. We encourage you to check back from time to time.
